Job Summary
A reputable USA-based company specializing in technical support services for small and medium-sized businesses across the United States is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer for a night shift role based in Islamabad. The primary focus of this position is to resolve IT-related issues for US clients while collaborating closely with the company’s headquarters team on various technical projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a robust technical foundation to effectively support and manage client environments.

Key Responsibilities
The Technical Support Engineer will provide back-end technical assistance to clients located in the USA, addressing and resolving IT challenges for managed services and data center-hosted environments. This includes working on network and server environment modifications or new builds, primarily involving Windows Server platforms. Regular coordination with the US-based technical team is essential to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of client issues.

The role also involves troubleshooting a wide range of client-facing technologies such as computers, IT peripherals, mobile devices, audiovisual equipment, software applications, network and telephony hardware, and printers. Participation in weekly technical meetings is required to discuss and resolve significant technical and administrative challenges. Additionally, the candidate will join a weekly on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.

Installing and managing antivirus solutions across client systems is another key responsibility, ensuring client environments remain secure and compliant.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field. They should have between 1 to 3 years of experience in end-user support, remote technical support, or technical coordination roles. A strong ability to identify, document, and analyze customer requirements is essential.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required to effectively interact with US clients and internal teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Windows operating systems (7/8/10), antivirus software, and multifunction printer setup and troubleshooting is expected.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V is important, along with hands-on knowledge of Office 365 migration and troubleshooting. A solid understanding of networking issue resolution and compliance maintenance is necessary.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, quick to learn new technologies, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, VCP, CCNA, or similar credentials are highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of core Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services, Terminal Services, and Office 365, will be considered an asset. Exposure to Azure cloud services is also advantageous.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Islamabad, offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs65,000 to Rs85,000.
