2D Draftsman

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bahria Town, Lahore. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural and interior drafting, capable of producing precise technical drawings and managing drafting workflows efficiently. This full-time position demands proficiency in AutoCAD, a thorough understanding of building regulations, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with architects, engineers, and site teams to deliver high-quality project results.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D architectural and interior drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and intricate interior detailing. You will be responsible for developing submission and construction drawings that comply strictly with relevant building codes and regulations. Additionally, you will draft accurate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) layouts, covering electrical and plumbing plans with precision.

Interpreting architectural concepts and transforming them into clear, technical drawings is a critical part of this role. You will assist in space planning and zoning layouts tailored to project requirements, ensuring functional and efficient design solutions. Maintaining drawing accuracy and adhering to established drafting standards is essential to uphold quality.

As a senior member of the drafting team, you will lead and mentor junior draftsmen, guiding them to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality outputs. Coordination with architects, engineers, and site teams is vital to integrate design elements effectively and resolve any technical issues during project execution.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Architecture. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in architectural and interior drafting projects is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with a strong emphasis on drafting speed and accuracy.

Experience in producing detailed 2D interior drawings and comprehensive construction documentation is necessary. A solid understanding of building codes, by-laws, and approval processes is required to ensure compliance throughout project stages. Candidates should also demonstrate strong skills in preparing MEP drawings, including electrical and plumbing layouts.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high drafting standards are critical. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment are also important for success in this role.
