Job Summary
Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) is seeking an experienced professional to lead and supervise immunization and health-related projects in Karachi or Islamabad. This senior role involves managing project budgets, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards, and providing strategic oversight to sub-grantees. The successful candidate will plan, implement, and monitor immunization activities while coordinating closely with government bodies and donors to ensure high-quality service delivery across targeted districts. This position requires strong leadership, extensive public health expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project implementation, ensuring strict adherence to IHHN and donor financial and operational guidelines.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring appropriate allocation and compliance with financial protocols.
- Plan, implement, and monitor immunization and related activities in collaboration with sub-grantees, ensuring compliance with agreements and donor requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance and supervision to sub-grantees to improve outreach and the quality of immunization services.
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate activity indicators, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations of sub-grantees and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Prepare and review data analyses and quality progress reports for submission to donors and IHHN senior management.
- Develop and implement project strategies aligned with national and provincial immunization policies.
- Liaise with donors, government health authorities, and other stakeholders through high-level meetings to enhance immunization service delivery.
- Organize provincial-level dissemination workshops to share best practices and lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with all donor and IHHN protocols related to immunization services.
- Manage human resources effectively, including community health workers, vaccinators, and volunteers.
- Supervise the operational rollout of immunization services across designated districts.
- Coordinate with government entities such as EPI, Department of Health (DoH), PPHI, donors, and partners to streamline project activities.
- Ensure all supervised positions are staffed with competent and productive personnel.
- Provide counseling, mentorship, training facilitation, and on-the-job coaching to project staff.
- Participate in planning and execution of new initiatives as assigned.
- Represent Indus Hospital & Health Network at various forums, platforms, and institutions.
- Lead large-scale health interventions, manage multidisciplinary teams, and maintain strong stakeholder relations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field, along with an MBBS degree.
- Minimum of 13 years of relevant professional experience, preferably including pre-entry roles in health project implementation or development sectors.
- Experience in immunization projects and cold chain management is highly desirable.
- Candidates with up to 15 years of relevant experience will be considered.
