Job Summary
Artes School’s Primary Section, located in PECHS Block 2, Karachi, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Coordinator for a full-time position. This role involves working closely with students from Grade 1 to Grade 6, overseeing subjects including English, Math, Science, Urdu, Social Studies, and other general subjects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a child-centered, joyful learning environment and be committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and compassion among young learners. The school operates from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM with alternate Saturdays off. The position offers a competitive salary and transportation facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring that curriculum materials and resources align with educational standards and meet student needs. They will provide coaching and support to teachers, helping to develop strategies that enhance student performance. Collaboration with school administrators and staff is essential to maintain a cohesive academic environment.
Monitoring student progress and identifying areas where additional support is needed will be a key part of the role. The coordinator will also provide individualized assistance to students when required. Organizing class schedules, academic events, and maintaining clear communication with both students and faculty members are important duties.
Strong leadership and team-building skills are vital, as is a deep understanding of content and performance standards across multiple subjects. The role demands excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups within the school community.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a section coordinator or subject team lead, preferably within a primary education setting. Experience or formal training in Activity-Based Learning specifically designed for primary students is essential. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate patience, energy, empathy, and a commitment to serving a minimum of two academic years in this role. A genuine passion for child-centered, joyful learning and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development and embrace innovative teaching methods are also necessary.
