Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience to lead the migration and architecture of cloud workloads across multiple locations, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Noida, Pune, and Trivandrum. This role focuses on designing, automating, and managing cloud infrastructure, with a primary responsibility for migrating production workloads from Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security, and will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
You will architect and automate the migration of production workloads from GCP to AWS, carefully analyzing existing GCP infrastructure to design equivalent or enhanced AWS architectures. Managing cloud infrastructure through Terraform will be critical, enabling repeatable, auditable deployments with version-controlled repositories and automated infrastructure changes.
Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployments using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD will be part of your daily tasks. You will automate provisioning, testing, and deployment processes to improve operational efficiency.
Implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus is essential to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of cloud-hosted services. You will enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), and work closely with security teams to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Collaboration is key; you will partner with developers, architects, and security teams to streamline migration efforts and provide post-migration support. Maintaining detailed documentation for cloud architecture, migration plans, runbooks, and standard operating procedures will ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
Finally, you will provide insights and recommendations for post-migration optimization and cost management, helping the organization maximize cloud investments.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Proven hands-on experience with both AWS and GCP, particularly in cloud migration projects, is essential.
Advanced proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation and state management is required, along with strong scripting skills in Python. A deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, VPC, and CloudWatch is necessary.
Experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, and IAM is also critical. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is expected.
You should have solid experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD, and a strong grasp of cloud networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preferred candidates will hold AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer certifications. Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is highly valued.
Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Grafana will be advantageous. A background in FinTech, SaaS, or other regulated industries is a plus.
