Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in inventory management, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with ERP or inventory management software such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring the accuracy of stock records, and working closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring inventory levels, stock movements, and all related transactions to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. This includes recording incoming and outgoing goods precisely within the inventory system to ensure data integrity. You will investigate any stock discrepancies and conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will coordinate with warehouse staff and other departments to optimize the flow of stock and prevent bottlenecks. Additionally, you will generate and maintain detailed inventory reports for management review, providing insights that support informed decision-making.
Maintaining compliance with inventory processes and safety standards is a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to recommend improvements to inventory controls and procedures, helping to streamline operations and reduce errors.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, which is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of two years’ experience in inventory control or warehouse operations is essential to succeed in this position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is required to manage inventory data effectively. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills are critical to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly.
Effective communication and organizational skills are necessary to work efficiently within the team and across departments. The ability to work independently while also collaborating with others will be key to managing your responsibilities successfully.
