Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Head Chefs, Cooks, and Line Cooks to join our vibrant kitchen team on a full-time, on-site basis. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role also includes inventory management, equipment upkeep, and training new team members. Close collaboration with management is essential to enhance service delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will supervise and direct all food preparation activities, ensuring that every dish meets our quality standards. Menu planning and recipe development are key components of this role, requiring expertise in English, Chinese, Continental, Pakistani, Arabic cuisines, and bakery items. Setting up workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipment is crucial to maintain efficiency.

Preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and cutting, will be performed regularly. Cooking duties involve using various utensils and grillers, with careful monitoring to ensure proper stirring, turning, and cooking times. Presentation is important; dishes must be attractively plated before serving to uphold high standards.

Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment is mandatory, complying with all health and safety regulations. Proper storage of food and kitchen supplies, along with regular quality checks of ingredients, is required. The role also involves monitoring stock levels and placing timely orders to avoid shortages.

The Head Chef will prepare a wide range of dishes, including pizzas, breakfast items, and specialty dishes, focusing on both quality and presentation. Adherence to recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines ensures consistency across all meals. Additionally, contributing to menu development and creating specials to offer innovative dining options is expected.

Collaboration with the Kitchen Supervisor and other team members is vital to ensure smooth kitchen operations and a positive working environment.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of four years’ experience as a Cook or Head Chef, with a strong background in multiple cuisines. Culinary certification or relevant education is advantageous but not mandatory. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle pressure effectively is essential.

A thorough understanding of food handling, safety standards, and hygiene practices is required. Excellent culinary skills, combined with a keen eye for detail and presentation, are necessary to succeed in this role. Leadership and team management abilities are important to guide and motivate kitchen staff.

Experience in inventory management, budget oversight, and cost control is expected. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will support effective collaboration within the team and with management.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Possession of Food Safety & Handling Certification is preferred. Prior experience in similar culinary roles will be highly regarded. We offer a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs75,000, commensurate with experience.
