Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Terminal Operations Manager to oversee the full spectrum of terminal activities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and seamless experience for both passengers and staff. This role requires managing key functions such as ticketing, waiting areas, customer service, boarding procedures, protocol services, and security. The successful candidate will work closely with the bus operations team to maintain accurate scheduling and timely arrivals. Additionally, they will supervise loading and unloading teams to ensure effective baggage handling and vehicle readiness. Handling passenger inquiries, complaints, and emergencies with professionalism and urgency is essential. Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and security standards throughout the terminal, as well as managing crowd control during peak times, forms a critical part of this role. The position also involves conducting regular inspections, preparing daily operational reports for senior management, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures. The candidate will play a key role in reporting technical faults and maintenance issues and supporting staff training and mentoring initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all terminal operations including ticketing counters, waiting lounges, customer service desks, boarding zones, protocol services, and security functions to ensure smooth and safe terminal performance.
- Coordinate closely with the bus operations team to guarantee buses follow schedules and designated routes.
- Supervise loading and unloading teams to ensure efficient baggage handling and readiness of vehicles.
- Respond promptly and professionally to passenger inquiries, complaints, and emergency situations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the terminal premises.
- Manage crowd control effectively during peak hours, weekends, and holiday periods to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
- Conduct regular inspections of terminal facilities and prepare comprehensive daily operational reports for senior management review.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures among all terminal staff.
- Identify and report technical faults or maintenance issues to the relevant departments and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in training and mentoring terminal staff to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in terminal or bus station operations, or within the transport and logistics sector.
- Proven leadership skills with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage stress during busy operational periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting tools.
- Willingness and flexibility to work rotational 12-hour shifts, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
