Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated IT professional to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure within a fast-paced dairy industry environment. This role requires hands-on support for hardware, software, and network systems to ensure seamless operations across multiple departments. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance, uphold data integrity, and support dairy-specific IT solutions, playing a vital role in enhancing business efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & System Maintenance:
You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware such as computers, printers, and servers, along with essential software including ERP and dairy management applications. Monitoring and troubleshooting network issues involving LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will oversee data security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery processes. Managing server administration across Windows and Linux platforms, as well as cloud services where applicable, is also expected.
Software & ERP Support:
Provide technical support for dairy-specific software systems used in milk procurement, inventory management, and production tracking. Lead the implementation of Microsoft 365 and Teams, including conducting staff training sessions. A basic understanding of SAP Business One is required to resolve software-related issues across departments such as Finance, Procurement, HR, and Production.
Database & MIS Management:
Maintain and update databases related to milk collection, quality checks, and distribution processes. Generate daily and weekly Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant industry regulations.
User Support & Training:
Deliver helpdesk support to employees facing IT-related challenges. Conduct regular training sessions on new software and tools to improve staff proficiency. Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including laptops, scanners, and biometric devices.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Implement and manage security protocols such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls. Ensure compliance with FSSAI and ISO standards related to data handling and security. Monitor cyber threats actively and report any security breaches promptly.
Dairy-Specific IT Solutions:
Support Internet of Things (IoT) devices including temperature sensors and automated milking systems. Assist in implementing traceability software for the milk supply chain. Troubleshoot hardware issues related to weighing scales, barcode scanners, and RFID systems.
Additional Duties:
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the company to support IT operations and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support within the FMCG sector.
- Basic understanding of SAP Business One.
- Proven ability to provide hands-on technical support across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
