Job Summary
A well-established UK-based travel agency located in Lahore is looking for a proficient Flights Supervisor to manage and oversee all flight-related operations within the company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in flight operations or supervising a flight desk in a travel agency environment. This role demands strong expertise in flight bookings, collaboration with consolidators, and hands-on experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo. The Flights Supervisor will lead a motivated team, ensuring smooth workflows and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
The Flights Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and supporting the flights team to ensure seamless daily operations. This includes managing complex itineraries, group bookings, and handling urgent travel requests efficiently. The role requires active liaison with airlines and consolidators to negotiate fare contracts and secure special deals that benefit the agency and its clients. Monitoring booking processes to maintain high performance standards and quality assurance is essential.

Additionally, the Flights Supervisor will address and resolve escalated issues related to flight changes, cancellations, or ticket reissuances promptly. Ensuring full compliance with IATA regulations and internal agency policies is a critical part of the role. The supervisor will also conduct training sessions for new employees and provide refresher courses to existing staff members to maintain a knowledgeable and skilled team. Preparing detailed flight sales reports and productivity analyses for management review will support informed decision-making and operational improvements.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have at least three years of experience in a supervisory capacity focused on flights or ticketing within a travel agency setting. Practical expertise with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is essential. A strong understanding of international and domestic airline booking rules and procedures is required to navigate complex travel arrangements effectively.

Excellent leadership skills combined with clear and effective communication abilities are necessary to manage the team and interact with stakeholders. The ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines is crucial in this fast-moving industry.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Possession of an IATA or equivalent travel industry qualification is highly desirable and will be considered an asset. Experience in handling Umrah and Hajj flight arrangements will provide an advantage due to the specialized nature of these services. Candidates with a background in managing both B2B and B2C flight sales will be preferred, as this experience aligns well with the agency’s diverse client base.
