Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage the financial operations of our organization, specifically within the events and exhibition sector. This full-time, on-site role demands a professional who can oversee financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, compliance, audits, and team supervision. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and diverse stakeholders to support the company’s financial health and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting:
You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow reports. Ensuring timely and precise month-end and year-end closing processes is essential. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies, as well as prepare and manage budgets related to exhibitions, events, and overall operational expenses.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions is critical to this role. You will oversee timely payments and collections, reconcile vendor invoices and receipts, and meticulously track all transactions associated with exhibition costs, sponsorships, and exhibitor fees to maintain financial accuracy.

Compliance & Audit:
You will ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. This includes managing both internal and external audits by collaborating with auditors to guarantee transparency and accuracy. Additionally, you will prepare tax filings and other statutory submissions within required deadlines.

Team Management & Support:
Supervising a small team of junior accountants or finance assistants will be part of your responsibilities. You will provide financial training and guidance to other departments as needed and continuously monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication:
Effective communication with vendors, suppliers, and clients regarding financial matters is essential. You will assist with financial queries and offer insights into cost management for exhibition projects. Close collaboration with senior leadership will be necessary to ensure financial goals align with broader business objectives.

Required Qualifications

Education:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACCA or ICMA is mandatory.

Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting or finance management, preferably within the events or exhibition industry.
- Strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated success in managing financial audits and tax-related responsibilities.

Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
