Security Operations Center Analyst

We are seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to oversee control room operations, monitor security incidents, and ensure timely response to emerging threats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time security monitoring, data analysis, incident response, and coordination with regional teams to enhance security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring & Control Room Management

Oversee control room operations, ensuring continuous monitoring of field tasks and protective operations.
Maintain updated emergency contact lists for law enforcement, emergency services, and rescue teams.
Track and display all regional project sites in the control room for accurate monitoring and coordination.

Threat Analysis & Incident Response

Gather and analyze security intelligence to issue real-time alerts and advisories.
Monitor security updates from traditional and social media platforms, sharing critical developments.
Collaborate with regional control rooms to ensure rapid information exchange and incident response.
Assist in developing and executing incident response plans and post-incident analysis.
Implement escalation protocols to notify key stakeholders of critical security events.

Client Communication & Support

Respond to client queries 24/7 via calls, emails, and messages, providing real-time security updates.
Draft and distribute newsletters based on intelligence reports and updates from field teams.

Technology & System Optimization

Maintain and update security monitoring tools, software, and hardware for optimal performance.
Identify opportunities to automate control room processes, improving efficiency.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze security data, generate reports on incidents, trends, and patterns, and share insights with relevant teams.
Maintain detailed records of all incidents and communications in the Incident Running Register (IRR) for reporting and future reference.

Vigilance & Preparedness

Stay alert and ensure all crisis management protocols and resources are in place for effective emergency response.
Organize daily control room activities and prioritize tasks according to urgency.
Perform additional duties as assigned, particularly during emergencies and critical situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Any Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mass Communication, Defense and Strategic Studies, IR or a related field
Experience: Prior experience in security operations, SOC, or emergency response.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
Proficiency in security monitoring systems, incident response planning, and threat intelligence analysis.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
