We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in preparing and filing withholding tax statements and sales tax returns, along with a strong foundation in general accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, reconcile, and file monthly/quarterly sales tax returns.
- Manage and submit withholding tax statements in compliance with FBR regulations.
- Ensure timely issuance of tax deduction certificates to customers.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and journals.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, rules, and financial regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
- Strong knowledge of different tax portals and withholding tax filings.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Peachtree).
- Excellent command of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
