Freight Dispatcher

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Freight Dispatcher to join our Monark Logistics team. As a Freight Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. You will work closely with carriers, customers, and team members to manage the transportation process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

Dispatch drivers and equipment for the timely and efficient pickup and delivery of freight.
Ensure all shipments are loaded and shipped according to customer requirements and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery and communicate with customers and carriers regarding any delays or issues.
Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate regularly with carriers, customers, and team members to ensure the transportation process runs smoothly.
Work with team members to manage inventory and schedule pickups and deliveries.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in dispatching or logistics.
Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT regulations and HOS rules.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in computer software applications, including MS Office and transportation management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
Familiarity with the trucking industry and its key players.
