Summary:

The Auto Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in automotive vehicles. This includes diagnosing electrical problems, repairing damaged electrical components, and installing new electrical components. The Auto Electrician must have a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnose electrical problems in automotive vehicles.
Repair damaged electrical components.
Install new electrical components.
Inspect and test electrical systems.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
2-year technical degree in automotive electrical technology or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service skills.

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
