We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Technical Sales Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new opportunities, preparing compelling proposals and quotations, and effectively managing the sales cycle from lead generation to accounts receivable. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, sales prowess, and excellent interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential clients to understand their technical requirements and business challenges.

  • Present and demonstrate technical solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.

Proposal & Quotation Management:

  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and professional technical proposals and quotations in response to client inquiries and RFPs/RFQs.

  • Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., engineering, product development) to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.

Sourcing & Procurement Support:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for necessary components, materials, or services.

  • Assist in or directly manage the purchasing process, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Cross-selling & Account Management:

  • Leverage the existing company database to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with current clients.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.

  • Proactively address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payments from clients.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to resolve payment discrepancies and issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and payment statuses.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in [Relevant field - e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related technical discipline, any computer or technical certificate is plus].

  • Proven experience (3 years) in a technical sales role, preferably within [Specific industry if applicable, e.g., IT, Software, telecom].

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive technical proposals and quotations.

  • Experience with purchasing, sourcing, or procurement processes is a strong plus.

  • Strong understanding of sales principles, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and sales reporting.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills (Optional):

  • Familiarity with specific CRM software (e.g., SugarCRM, etc).

  • Bonus telecom experience.
