This person is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility. To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The QA person does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the system goes live. In-addition the person should also have project management skills in order to lead the implementation and monitoring of a project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of IT applications both from a business perspective as well as a technical perspective.
- Perform functional, performance and usability testing.
- Converting requirements into test cases.
- Record, document and communicate testing status and follow up for resolution.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of the testing.
- Explore test automation tools and writing scripts to automate tests.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately.
- Make recommendations to improve reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Implement software and system to monitor project and operations activities
- Maintenance of Quality tool/s and ensure project and operations adhere to defined standards
- Facilitate in QA audits and develop plans for all IT QA projects.
- Liaison with IT PMO for IT QA project related activities and escalations.
- Facilitate in development of policies , procedures, SOPS related to IT QA projects and operations
