Technical Responsibilities: National NOC IP Operations:
• Responsible for managing IP Ops services country wide and ensured interruption free (Transit, IP connect and MPLS VPN) services to ISPs, Call Centers, Universities, and other Corporate Customers via SMEWE4, SMEWE3 and IMEWE submarine optical cables and through STM level national links.
• Managing remote IP POPs for service provisioning and complaint resolution.
• Provisioning, configuring, commissioning & trouble shooting IP MPLS, Internet Backbone links terminated at IPOps.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP, MP-BGP within PIE network.
• Coordination with Other Licensed Operators for Planned Outages / Migrations.
• Strong practical experience with layer 2 network security technologies, such as port-security, DHCP snooping, ARPinspection. • Extend all the necessary support for the second and third-tier escalations for all operational outages in IP network, LAN/WAN network connections.
• Implementing traffic filters using Standard/Extended access-lists, prefix lists, filter lists and Route-maps.
• Ensuring that NOC internal systems are functioning properly, client alarms are being responded by emails or phones.
• Monitoring PIE backbone TCP/IP network performance through Syslog, Cacti/MRTG and taking necessary actions for fine tuning of network.
• Analyze traffic patterns and proactively identify anomalies, respond to alarms, and monitor the network status.
• Ensuring Pre/Post check of activities done during MW period.
• Seamless integration of new network elements in the existing network & ensuring that network availability KPIs are intact during the integration process.
• Managing network outages of carrier customers through service calls and trouble tickets.
• Responsible for training and guiding entry-level technicians
