Background of CDLD Policy: The European Union supports the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan) to implement the Provincial Policy "Community-Driven Local Development (CDLD)" responding to unprecedented level of destruction and disruption caused by military operation and civil unset from the Afghanistan war and devastating floods. The overall objective is to build responsiveness and effectiveness of the State to restore citizen trust, stimulate employment and livelihood opportunities, and ensure the delivery of basic services. Major Responsibilities i) Conduct updated assessment (directly and remotely) of current situation in collaboration With relevant stakeholders; determine priorities and immediate activities and resources. ii) Organized Broad based community visioning exercise to enhance awareness of communities over CDLD in the target communities. iii) Initial contact with the target community iv) Introduction to community driven local development policy within community Based Organization. v) Social feasibility of the proposed community physical Infrastructure. vi) Formation of community based organization as per CDLD policy. vii) Facilitate community based organization in registration with Deputy commissioner office and getting registration certificate. viii) Facilitate community based organization in bank account opening process. ix) Develop Village development plan to capture available resources and prioritized needs of communities in assigned areas. x) Deliver community management skill training to the targeted communities. xi) Deliver leadership management skill training to the targeted communities. xii) Arrange and deliver manager conference in union council and tehsil level xiii) Arrange exposure visit of community based organization to different local support organization xiv) Ensure that issues of protection, gender, livelihoods, DRR and environmental impact, operation and maintenance and sustai
