Community-Based Protection for Refugees – UNHCR-funded project)

Implementation of community-based protection projects for Afghan refugees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 05 Districts.
Management and supervision of the project staff and monitoring of the activities and ensure that the project activities are in line with the budget, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.
Implemented and managed protection and inclusion programs, ensuring the rights and well-being of marginalized groups, including refugees, and other vulnerable populations.
Ensured that the perspectives, capacities, needs and resources of the PoC are manifested in the protection strategy, planning, processes and operations plan addressing the specific protection needs of women and men, children, youth and older persons, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups. 
Maintained protection presence through regular field missions, making direct contact with PoC,host communities, local authorities and partners. 
Identification of PWSN and referred for targeted direct support and assistance, i.e., emergency cash assistance, health assistance, skill trainings, case management for child protection and SGBV, emergency shelter, and durable solutions, as required. 
Linking community members with other organizations, government technical and vocational centres for admission in different vocational trainings. 
Strengthened confidential community-based feedback mechanisms in refugee communities and ensure appropriate and timely responses from SHARP Office. 
Mobilization and training of Outreach Volunteers (OVs) throughout project area.  
Community referral pathways are strengthened through the regular dissemination of up-to-date information to refugee communities and outreach volunteers about available services within their communities and how to access them. 
Conducted social and physical mapping in key focus areas, resulting in the development of an online service directory as well as community ‘pocket guides’ to facilitate refugees’ access to needed services.
Supported refugee communities to identify and address their needs through community-led initiatives, including through seed funding and mentoring from UNHCR. 
Adhering to the principles of community-based approach, AGDM, rights-based approach, do no harm, accountability of affected populations and ensuring any program does not place people at risk and mitigates any potential negative consequences within the communities. 
Enhanced female participation in community structures, through leadership opportunities, livelihoods trainings, the establishment of communal places, and community learning centers to reduce the cultural barriers to women and girls’ full participation in community life. 
The regular and systematic quantitative and qualitative documentation, weekly/monthly/annual reports and critical evaluation of CBP approaches, including both positive and negative outcomes, for learning, replication, and adaptation. 
Coordination with UNHCR, and other stakeholders for smooth implementation and to promote the protection and inclusion of marginalized groups.
Conduct and supervise various surveys, demographic studies, and research studies for the project.
Training of Staff, youth, and Outreach Volunteers on protection concepts, volunteerism, human rights, GBV and child protection, and self-resilient approaches.
Supporting, training, and managing youth volunteers of around 728 youths in 44 clusters and 05 districts of KP. 
Wrote weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports of the project for the organization.
Developed case studies and success stories of the project activities.
