Livelihood Recovery and Disaster Resilience Project – District Sanghar, Sindh (Funded by AWO)
 

Support off-farm training, market linkages, and agriculture-based activities (livestock, poultry, and kitchen gardening) to restore sustainable livelihoods.


Facilitate access to civil registration services and strengthen connections with agriculture and livestock extension services.


Establish Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) committees, raise awareness in communities and schools, develop DRR and climate change materials, and strengthen links with DDMA.
Equip communities and institutions for disaster response and early warning systems.

Early Recovery and Rehabilitation Project – OXFAM
Implemented the Early Recovery and Rehabilitation Project in Mirpurkhas and Sanghar, Sindh, focusing on Food & Economic Security (FES), WASH, and Safeguarding and Protection.
Key Achievements:

Safeguarding: Trained faith leaders on early child and forced marriages, formed Protection Committees (PCs), and linked them with government departments.
FES: Distributed seeds, fertilizers, and enterprise grants, vaccinated 7,000 animals, trained 120 CLEWES, and supported kitchen gardening, MPCA, and Cash-for-Work beneficiaries.
WASH: Built 300 latrines, 197 laundry pads, installed 122 hand pumps, 440 Nadi filters, and conducted hygiene sessions, 10 RO plant.

Ensured timely execution of the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), reporting to donors, and fostering disaster preparedness through community committees.

Flood Affected Communities Integrated Response (FAIR) – ECHO
The FAIR project, funded by ECHO and implemented with CARE International, supported flood-affected communities in Baluchistan and Sindh. Collaborating with partners Shifa Foundation, TRDP, and Manzil Organization, key responsibilities included:

Managing Non-Food Item (NFI) distribution: jerry cans, hygiene kits, shelters, and aqua tabs.
Establishing child- and women-friendly spaces (CFS/WFS) and linking them to income generation activities.
Conducting health and hygiene sessions and setting up government referral networks.
Distributing Multipurpose Cash Grants (MPCs) to 13,000 beneficiaries.
Ensuring quality project execution, coordination, reporting, and budget monitoring.

This initiative enhanced disaster response and community resilience effectively.
 

Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress (GRASP)
The GRASP project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented through International Trade Centre (ITC), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), was successfully executed in Thatta, Sujawal, and Tando Muhammad Khan districts of Sindh.
The project aimed to promote gender-inclusive income and employment generation in the livestock and horticulture sectors by enhancing value chains. Key achievements include:

Identified beneficiaries and business intermediary organizations in rural areas.
Provided technical training and facilitated business linkages.
Enabled access to credit for medium, small, and micro enterprises (SMEs) through financial institutions and market actors and value chain.
Successfully allocated and implemented 27 Matching Grants of PKR 30M, 2.5M, and 0.5M.
Evaluated business proposals, organized pitching sessions, and conducted due diligence visits for SMEs.
Linked 52 SMEs with microfinance institutions (MFIs) and conventional banks.
Conducted capacity building for field teams on entrepreneurship development.
Managed field operations with technical support to district leads.

Technical Vocational Skill Training – SUCCESS Program
Under the SUCCESS Program, funded by the European Union (EU), a total of 2,130 boys and girls were successfully trained in Technical Vocational Skills across the districts of Kambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Dadu, and Jamshoro, achieving a 60% placement rate for graduates.
Key responsibilities included:

Ensuring project activities were completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Coordinating with project partners for day-to-day operations.
Developing and monitoring detailed project plans to track progress and manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
Conducting pre- and post-training assessments for participants.
Analyzing project performance to ensure successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the directorate and donors.
Providing oversight, quality assurance, and ensuring the program was implemented in its true spirit.

 

Village Rehabilitation and Resettlement Project (VRRP)
The Village Rehabilitation and Resettlement Project (VRRP) was successfully completed in response to the 2010 super flood in the northern districts of Sindh. A total of 43 villages were rehabilitated and resettled with financial support from the Government of Sindh (GoS) across Shikarpur, Jacobabad, and Kashmore districts.
Union Council-Based Poverty Reduction Programme (UCBPRP)
The UCBPRP, a comprehensive poverty reduction initiative, was successfully implemented in Shikarpur district. Key achievements include:

Establishing 6 Social Mobilization Teams to ensure 100% coverage across Shikarpur.
Supervising and facilitating Social Mobilization Unit Offices in 6 SMTS of Sindh under various projects funded by GoS, USAID, PPAF, RSPN, HelpAge International, JSI, Johns Hopkins University, and the United Nations.
Conducted Poverty Scorecard Survey - PSC for 540,000 households as a baseline for poverty ranking.
Installed 1,200 hand pumps direct and 300 lead hand pumps, along with comprehensive water testing initiatives.
Formed 4,500 community organizations, later federated into 1,810 village organizations.
Successfully completed 950 physical infrastructure schemes across 433 villages.
Managed supervised, and disbursed PKR 700 million under the Community Investment Fund (CIF).
Providing Micro Health Insurance to 26,000 households.
Team management, financial management and reporting to the doner.

·        Designed a strategy for admitting deserving students to TVET centres and the Government Polytechnic Institute Sukkur.
·        Fostered an inclusive learning environment to ensure student welfare, safety, and academic success.
·        Promptly addressed student concerns in coordination with the support team and administration.
·        Supervised examinations, ensuring compliance with TTB/STEVTA standards and timely results.
·        Maintained accurate student records and provided regular updates to donors through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
·        Ensured regulatory compliance by managing license and certification renewals. Arranged different events for Government Official, European Union and Technical Institutes.
·        Prepared and managed budgets, optimizing resources for academic and operational needs.
·        Monitored curricula implementation, upholding academic standards, and improving training programs in collaboration with the Academic Department.
·        Evaluated lesson plans, observed classes, and organized instructor training to enhance teaching quality.
·        Partnered with the Placement Department and industries to facilitate internships and job placements.
·        Managed the tracer studies of trained students conducted by SDPI and IBA.
·        Initiated measures to reduce the dropout rate by 10%, addressing key attrition factors.
·        Ensured audit readiness by maintaining updated records and logbooks.
·        Organized and attended committee meetings, functions, and national events, including community service and graduation ceremonies.
 

To organize & facilitate both Capacity Building and Vocational Skill training at the PDC level, plan and support manager HRD to meet the desired targets, and design different modules in line with community needs and program objectives. Successfully organized training for Non-Formal Education teachers, WASH, EDRD/M, and CMST training at the field level.   

One month of indoor orientation at HID-PPAF and three months of field attachment with HRD-TRDP in different Social Mobilization Units at district Tharparkar. After completion of the attachment, TRDP offered me the position of Programme Officer at the HRD-TRDP head office in Mithi.
