• Co-ordination. The Work include management and administrative duties and Co-ordination with other members of the Project, with staff of other partner organizations and line agencies.
• Prepare & update implementation program in coordination with DG SERRA and Director WATSAN ERRA.
• Constructional Supervision of all ongoing project of GOP funded as well as Sponsor Project.
• To report regularly, verbally and in writing to the Director WATSAN and WATSAN Advisor to represent ERRA & line agencies and Government authorities where requested.
• Monthly Progress reports about project to Head Office, Islamabad.
• Checking all on going project, their progress, also check and rationalize all PC-1, BOQ’s, Tender Documents related to WATSAN.
• Provide feedback to the Monitoring and Evaluation system in order to asses the effectiveness of the projects and impact and propose recommendations for improvements.
• To organize all activities related to the implementation of WATSAN programs including water supply schemes, Solid waste management, Sanitation, Buildings, streets, drainage line and infrastructure projects, from check design to implementation, including logistics and monitoring. Responsible for the identification, design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all water supply and sanitation program activities and associated administrative tasks on the ERRA/SERRA Support Program in the assigned districts of AJK. To supervise all water and sanitation engineering staff in order to effectively implement planned projects. To manage all administration and security of ERRA , SERRA engineering activities in the assigned districts.
• Major Project:
• Monitoring and Supervision: 2282 water supply Schemes all over AJK (Muzaffarabad, Rawalkot, Bagh, Neelum). Including Pc-1 , PC-2 , Tender Documents, TOR, BOQ of different departments (Local Government & Rural Development Department, Public Health Engineering Department , Municipal Corporation , Town Committees.
• Government Buildings : all the Government building of (Local Government & Rural Development Department, Public Health Engineering Department , Municipal Corporation , Town Committees which were destroyed / damaged are under my supervision for reconstructed/ rehabilitated. Finalization of their Budgets, PC-1 and Tender Documents.
• Solid Waste Management : due to earthquake all the systems of SWM badly damaged, feasibility study PC-1 and tender document of SWM is Supervised and further there approval is done by me.

To provide technical support to SERRA to manage and coordinate ERRA’s water supply and sanitation (WATSAN) program in the respective earthquake affected areas.
• Prepare technical reports, and monitor implementation of public/community owned water supply and sanitation (WATSAN) schemes.

• Ensure that the programme is implemented in a consultative, participative and effective manner.
• To help the concerned line departments in preparation of annual work plans /PC-1s in accordance with the sectoral strategy formulated by the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA).
• Ensure that budgetary and programmatic aspects of current and future schemes are compliant with ERRA’s guidelines.

• Carry out effective monitoring of the project’s activities, quality achievements and shortfalls as well as beneficiaries feedbacks.

• Ensure effective implementation of all the WatSan components (hard and soft ), particularly regarding Water quality and Hygiene promotion.

• Assist the respective program manager/DG (SERRA) in regular reporting to the concerned quarters.
• Assist SERRA to develop and support community engagement and ownership in the WATSAN and SWM programme and to engage and mobilize target communities on the benefits of the safe hygiene practices to maximize programme coverage.

• Assist in government’s efforts to bring about behavioral changes in favor of safe hygiene practices.

Work in close collaboration with partner organizations, line departments / agencies to ensure that all interventions are appropriate to and compatible with local needs / sectoral strategy and designed to ease the burden and protect the health of the earthquake affected people.
Coordinate the work of WATSAN coordinators at DRU level by consolidating, monitoring and supporting the DRU level work plans and progress reports
To Provide technical support in designing, preparing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Water and Sanitation Projects ( Good command on water supply and sewerage system design, along of huge experience of implementation of such projects in Government and private sector , working in water and sanitation sector from Feb 2006 in Earthquake effected Areas).

I also analyse and evaluate data to ensure achievement (duplication, verification, proper designing and developed report sheets to ERRA and Secretary LGRDD) to achieve the objectives and recommend corrective action when necessary to meet project objectives. Assist in the development and introduction of new approaches, methods and practices in water supply and sanitation management and evaluation. (The duplication, verification, lists, detail report of UNICEF AJK were accessed and prepared by me)

Assessment of all field level data and project activities, including program review at ERRA and SERRA level as well as with Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary in progress review meetings. • Implementation of ongoing projects. To Carry out the selection, design and construction of water systems, using ground water or surface water, including abstraction, storage, treatment and distribution for new systems or rehabilitation of existing systems.
• To select, design and implement the most appropriate form of sanitation system, in consultation with the beneficiaries, which includes excreta disposal, refuse disposal, vector control and drainage.
• Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with standard construction practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions and drawing specification.
• Water Supply Schemes. Construction of new water supply schemes because after earth quake many sources becomes dry and many new sources discovers introduces under ground water supply tanks which can store which should me not cold in cold weather and hot in hot weather. As well as repairs and extension for existing water supply schemes. Work includes Water tanks , stand posts, gravity supply pipe lines, intake tanks.
• Sanitation. Design and implement sewerage system, sewer lines, introduces pour flash bath rooms, with septic tank. Bath room attached with home for security reasons .
• To liase closely with the Public Health Promotion Team throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of the Public Health Engineering Program. Hygiene Promotion is a vital element of such Public Health Engineering Programs
• To assess emergency needs, as requested, especially taking in the broader perspective of Public Health.
• Quality control and assurance on the site
• GPS Survey The survey was conduct to check the locations and discovers new water sources also estimated the populations and house holds, it was also estimated that how many houses are up from the sources and how much are under sources.
• Implementation of ongoing projects. Ensure that all work is performed in professional order, all materials used of standards, as well as how many masons required and how many unskilled labours required per day.
• Construction Supervision Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with standard construction practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions and drawing specification.
• Community Mobilization about project awareness , what sort of project we are gone do to community, what sort of benefit community can provide us on project. e.g agreements of source , agreements of land on which tanks be constructed etc. what benefit will community gain after project completed.
• To ensure that all Programs take gender issues fully into account. This includes the introduction of mechanisms to enable women to participate in decision making around public health engineering issues.
• Community meets with Village Development Committee’s about projects awareness.
• Preparation & Designing. of Bill of qualities , Technical Specifications, detailed estimates for rising of PR of Materials use in project.
• To ensure that all Programs take gender issues fully into account. This includes the introduction of mechanisms to enable women to participate in decision making around public health engineering issues.
• Design (Earth quake Proof ) Community Halls, Vocational Centers, Water Tanks including Structural , Bar bending Schedules and Foundations.
• Design water schemes , water tanks , intake cambers, Pits, Community halls with earth quake protection also follow the codes of ERRA.

3- 30 Health Units, 8 Vocational Training Centers and 8 Community Halls funded by SE European Union. All the projects was based in BAGH, AJK Earthquake Affected Area
4- 36 Water Supply Schemes, 1400 Bath Rooms, 30 Health Units, 8 Vocational Training Centers and 2 Community Halls.

• Preparation of PC-1, PC-2, Bill of qualities , Terms of References , Technical Specifications, Tender documents for Client.
• Implementation of ongoing projects. Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with standard construction practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions and drawing specification
• Layout and Leveling. Ensure the layout on ground is as planned in draws and the depth of excavation is maintained and in level.
• Quality control and assurance on the site
• Bar-bending schedule. Ensure the how much deformed bars gone use and what should be the cutting length, and what quantity required in Tons cross check with contractor bills and detailed estimates, also send deformed bars for laboratory testing.
• Construction Supervision Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with standard construction practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions and drawing specification.
• Monitoring daily site activities & work programmes to ensure the work carried out on site was as agreed .
• Preparing financial statements and monthly running payments on the site against work being completed. Monitoring the work on site then in drawings to ensure that drawing being followed compare the contractor bills with detailed estimates to ensure that budget is available for that piece of work , then recording all bill after duly verification on MB.
• Water Supply & Over head reservoir. Distribution lines network alone with over head reservoirs. Area covered was 36 Acres
• Sanitation. Design and implement sewerage system, sewer lines, pits, drain lines, septic tanks combining all buildings with main sewerage line & main sewerage line with Treatment Plant etc.
• Project includes, 13 single and Multi Story structures, 3 asphalt internal Road (30 & 20 Ft wide).
Supervision & quality control on subcontractor’s civil work project implementation, 4 over head reservoirs, 8 contractors, 20 C-type houses, 8 B-Type houses, 4 A-Type house, 2 (400 Bed hostels) for boys, 1 (200 Bed Hostel) for girls.
