Aspiring attorney and devoted humanitarian. I received my law degree from Quaid-i-Azam University, and I'm now an associate attorney with Shah Baba Law Associates. I want to help those who haven't been given a fair shot in society, while others may prefer to work on newsworthy situations.
My work in public interest law firms exposed me to matters involving civil rights violations and employment discrimination. Last year, I completed a legal internship at the Sohail Akbar Chaudhary Law companies, where I learned the value of fighting for my client in the face of opposition. Throughout my graduation, I also participated in various moot courts and other brief internships.
I also studied psychology and political science as my courses and these concentrations have given me tremendous perspective on the current humanitarian, constitutional, and civil rights challenges. My ideology and abilities, I hope, will promote a stronger sense of social equality.
At this firm I draft criminal, civil and family petitions, bail applications, appeals in murder and rape cases. Evidence preparations and preparing witnesses for evidence and cross-examination is also part of my many duties. Civil Trial, Reviews, Revisions, Case research, Arbitration and Mediation are my current focus.
I completed my 12 month compulsory internship at Sohail Akbar Chaudhary Law Firm Islamabad wherein I was given tasks related to drafting/vetting contracts and petitions and was appointed research assistant.
Other than assisting my seniors in legal research and litigation. I was made in-charge of the office where I managed files, regulated the system and assisted office clerks. Amongst many other duties I worked on-dealing with customers/clients-drafting of agreements
