Prepare an activity implementation plan and discuss the required resources to undertake the activity.
Ensure community participation in the project activities.
Form / re-orgaCommunity-BasedBased Organizations (CBOs) male/female.
Conduct Village mapping/profiling through different PRA tools (i.e. BBCMs, Mapping/profile, conflict resolution wealth ranking etc.
Mobilize community and orient project and organization's mandate.
Work with community members to map and prioritize community needs.
Identify and organize appropriate capacity building, and technical resources to support project implementation.
Ensure efficient and effective implementation of Climate Change Adaptation, Food Security, Livelihoods, Cash transfer and WASH-related interventions at the community level.
Write regular weekly, monthly and other reports (as per suggestion and need).
Facilitation and support in conducting the awareness sessions.
Mobilize community groups, sensitize and train them on specific topics as required, and organize and facilitate meetings.
Follow the Social Mobilization guidelines of SIF and implement them at the community level.
Perform other duties as requested by the line supervisor.
Prepare daily field visit reports after commencing the visit to the field.
Prepare and submit weekly progress reports well on time.
Prepare any other reports when required/asked by the supervisor
Actively participate in staff meetings.

DETAILS OF KEY FUNCTIONS:
Social mobilization

Plan social mobilization activities in the context of the project log frame and targets set aligned with project work plan.
Provide input in the development of terms of partnership to be signed with the communities for participation in the project activities,
Initiate social mobilization process and facilitate the project communities to organize themselves in shape of community organizations (male and female).
Facilitate participatory planning and implementation process for identification of flood affected beneficiaries
Initiate and support distribution activities, as per planned in project. 
Provide input for preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports on the field activities highlighting achievements and bottlenecks.

Coordination

Coordinate with project coordinator, MEAL, Operations and HR department for integrated and coordinated activities in the field.
Support and coordinate with different implementing partners of government department in carrying out studies, assessments, and trainings.
Support the community organizations to establish their linkages with the local authorities and other development actors to improve the social services in the area.

Facilitate information and knowledge management 

Collect and provide support in collection of information for base-lines surveys and evaluation or any other required study.
Document success/case stories for the project. 
Document the overall social mobilization process, identify issues, and suggest improvements in the process

Overall responsibility of Social Mobilization Activities in their respective Union Council.
Supervise and monitor the progress of Social Mobilizers (Male and Female) in team.
Supervise field research activities pertaining to base line, assessment, case studies and develop quality photo record.
To encourage and stimulate full participation of all community members; with special attention to those who are usually un-accessed, marginalized and overlooked in community decision making process.
Properly orient the project staff about overall objectives and activities of the project
Review team work plans, reports and give feedback
Provide field level guidance and facilitation to the team member

Main Tasks & Responsibilities as part of the project’s social mobilization team under the direct supervision of the SSO and the Project Manager, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities
Preparing weekly, monthly and overall DIP under the direct supervision of SSO
To identify stakeholders, potential leaders, influential, decision makers/opinion makers in the assigned working area.
Assist in developing a social mobilization strategy and spatial planning for donor funded project
Introduce Qatar Charity's program to the local communities and formation of local WASH Committees.
To begin with baseline survey of target communities, and continue to monitor social change and new social information relevant to community empowerment
Develop profile of the villages/area
To provide community leaders with management skills and knowledge (about CLTS and hygiene) in getting community members interested, organized and motivated
To assess the needs and resources required for the sanitation and hygiene promotion in the target areas.
To motivate and encourage potential leaders to talk to their fellow community members about unity and self-reliance.
Carry out field related project activities on prescribed formats
Maintaining good relations with communities, notables and local contact persons to involve them in project activities and seek their support wherever required

Conduct baseline and end line and need assessments, feasibility studies, stakeholder analysis and community consultations.
Formation or reactivation of committees.
Actively involved in identification, assessment, and verification.
Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with committees or other civil society groups.
Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the programme and the beneficiary involvement strategy of CARE International.
Social mobilization for effective use of the community resources.
Community mobilization for the prioritizing of rehabilitation and recovery activities and strategies.
Remain in close contacts with the key members and pass on immediately their concerns and issues to respective technical experts for timely solution.
Facilitates the capacity building and setup of representative committees.
Ensure, through daily dialogues and consultations that the strategy of the projects and the commitments of the various stakeholders are adhered to.
