Plan and organize OTP/CMAM activities at designated sites in liaison with district officer.
Work closely with DoH Health staffs to ensure all aspects of the program understood and appropriate referrals take place to and from the CMAM outreach and well integrated into the Primary Health Care and CMAMI approach.
Assess, enroll the SAM children following the admission criteria and follow up enroll children as per schedule.
Ensure all criteria are ensured and implemented by health facility staff (MO/FMO/LHV) and outreach staff such as CHWs/LHWs, including; admission, discharge and transfer to and from the community or other source.
Ensure correct clinical diagnosis at the time anthropometric assessment and ensure that the SAM patient receives appropriate treatment and enrollment based OTP admission criteria.
Timely identification of complications, non-responder, and referrals to the NSC and strong follow up until discharge for re-admission in OTP.
Ensure adequate availability of all medical and Therapeutic food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with district Officer and logistics.
Follow-up and provide feedback to the nutrition supervisor /officer on the amount and quality of the treatment supplies if it does not comply with specified quality standards.
Regular and strong coordination with PHC/CMAMI, NSC and Outreach staff on referral and integrated case management package.

Follow and respect the current protocols specially Therapeutic supplies (RUTF) and drug administration i.e. for de-worming, malaria, EPI schedule and MNP, IFA / Vitamin A supplements targeting children and PLW with proper documentation.
Participate in the follow-up of stock request and consumption.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of the stock distributed through OTP/Outreach activities.
Compile the statistical data in conjunction with MEAL dep(admission, default, cured, absent, death) and draft a report on activities with timely submission to the program.

Establish good relationship with the relevant stakeholders (DOH/and community)
Respond and coordinate properly with District Officer representing ACF.
Establish a network with the other actors in the working area (I/NGO)
Establish a good understanding of the program within the community
Establish good coordination with caregivers coming to the OTP for services.
Inform ACF District Officer and Project Manager any Technical problems encountered related CMAM/CMAMI Program.

Lead/support in the planning, quantification and selection of nutrition services sites establishment, and operations,
Support and supervise the CMAM teams at the nutrition services sites,
Ensure all beneficiaries (Children and PLW) in the CMAM programme receive care and treatment in accordance with
MoH/GOSS Guidelines, including proper taking of anthropometric measurements and proper referral and receive
food/treatment according to the agreed protocol
Supervise CNWs at nutrition services sites on weekly basis.

Facilitate and organize referral of sick children to the stabilization center and ensure effective follow up of these children.
Organize the implementation of follow-up protocols requiring community outreach on a weekly basis with OTP patients,
Identify a number of community leaders who will work closely with the program at the village
Assist the community Nutrition workers implementing nutrition activities to develop monthly work plans.
Ensure proper management supplies, monitor and report on the stock levels
Capacity building of CNWs, Community Based Distributors and Community Volunteers
Identify needs, plan and organize training for , CNWs and community volunteers on CMAM,
Participate in the development of training curriculum and tools for nutrition training,
Liaise with CHD and other partner in selecting participants for trainings,
Liaise CHD and other partners in ensuring that CMAM and other nutrition activities are implemented as per the national
protocol,
Maintain a data base/report of the trained and active health workers, CNWs & community Volunteers in the community
Recording and Reporting
Follow and ensure proper registration and admission/discharge of CMAM patients including ongoing monitoring on
patients
Coordinate regular community screening of children under five, , Pregnant and Lactating Women with CNWs and CMAM
Nurses, as well as ensure recording and reporting of community mobilization and nutrition mass screening activities,
Lead/support evaluation of the outcomes of the trainings
Collation and analysis of other existing surveillance data
Prepare weekly activity reports and contribute to performance reports to the Assistant Nutrition Program Manager,
Mentor the nutrition workers to ensure that they support and supervise the community Nutrition workers in their areas of
coverage as required
Ensure regular meetings with the nutrition and community health workers
Document and share success stories, case studies and lessons learnt in a comprehensive and detailed manner to enable
track trends on changes on a timely basis
Compile activity reports including weekly screening data and Monthly reports
Work closely with MEAL Officer to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Coordination and Collaboration
Support and collaborate with the IYCF Officer and Asst. PM. In carrying out community based nutritional promotional
activities targeting community groups.
Support implementation of nutrition promotion activities, School nutrition clubs, community outreach, and facility based
nutrition education focusing on IYCF, growth monitoring and maternal nutrition, dissemination of IEC materials.
Liaise and establish strong links with existing community structures including women groups, community development
committees, youth groups and religious leaders.
Ensure the coordination, referral and linkage of cases across different partners and/or across CMAM components.
Work closely with the County Health Department and health facility staffs
Maintain the full represents of Save the Children at different partners and community level.
Attend community sensitization, program review and feedback meetings.

Any other duty as assigned to by the line manager

Conduct anthropometric measurement to screen beneficiaries for nutrition including children, adolescent girls and PLW
Ensure all children and PLW admitted to the CMAM program are clinically assessed by the medical assistant or medical doctor in the HFs
Ensure children and PLW are admitted and discharged to the CMAM program as per CMAM guideline
Distribute therapeutic and supplementary food to beneficiaries as per the CMAM guideline
Provide clear counselling to beneficiaries on how to take the provided RUSF and RUTF and conduct appetite test as necessary
Maintain proper record of the beneficiary data on register books, patient’s cards and other records
Ensure adequate nutrition supplements , essential medicines and all other supplies are available through timely request and proper commodity management
Stabilize and refer children that require in patient care to the nearest Stabilization center
Helping ensure a hygienic and organized work environment
Provide appropriate counselling for PLW, caretakers of OTP/SFP beneficiaries and mother groups on breastfeeding, complementary feeding and maternal and child nutrition
Build the capacity of community volunteers on the MUAC screening techniques
Support in mass screening of children at the community level in coordination with field teams
Ensure setting up of breastfeeding corners at each OTP/SFP site established or supported at Health facilities.
Develop monthly and weekly plans towards the accomplishment of the work plan and monitor the plan accordingly.
Produce weekly and monthly report on CMAM and IYCF activities and submit to District Officer on time
