Guide the identification, planning, and implementation of the infrastructure components of the program and ensure deployment of processes, standards, and strategies relating to infrastructure component of the program.

Partner with Govt. Line Dept., Consultant Companies, civil work Private Contractors, and Community-related to restructure projects and ensure quality assurance of work undertaken by consultant companies, civil work private contractors, and implementing partners (IPs).
Render a keen eye for details to debrief the project staff after every monitoring visit about project status, issues, and lessons learned regarding infrastructure projects to take corrective measures as and when required.
Provide sterling support to the Procurement Unit in contract Management, Pre-Qualification of contractors, Bidding Process, Evaluation & pre-contract meetings of EOIs, ITBs, RFQs, RFPs, etc.
Participate in meetings with contractors and other stakeholders for progress updates and constraints, drafting meeting minutes with action points. Regularly maintained project progress Dashboards.
Conduct detailed field visits for monitoring technical quality standards in respect of infrastructure components.
Comply field visit reports highlighting the overall progress, issues, recommendation, ions and, follow-up actions.
Review and process of bills/invoices submitted by Government Departments and civil work private contractors.

Key Achievements:

Acknowledged for successfully managing and completing the construction of Wash Facilities in 90 Commercial Hubs of the Khyber, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan Newly Merged districts.
Executed 144 Community Physical Infrastructure Schemes (CPIs) in Kurram and Orakzai tribal districts.
Managed and implemented 90 Economic Infrastructure schemes (Markets) in three districts of Erstwhile FATA (Khyber, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan).

Project: FATA Transition and Recovery Program, UNDP Pakistan, Newly Merged Districts, KPK

Delivered full analytical and technical support for devising infrastructure components of the project (i.e. schools’ reconstruction & rehabilitation, roads/pavements’ reconstruction, and rehabilitation; both rigid and flexible, drinking water supply schemes’ rehabilitation, construction of irrigation channels and flood protection walls).

Liaised with line departments (i.e. Communication and Works Department, Education Department, Public Health Engineering Department and Irrigation Department), contractors, Implementing Partners (IPs), and other stakeholders regarding project proposals, PC-Is, progress reports, running bills, MBs, Interim & final payments requests, technical sanctions and progress review meetings.
Exercised hands-on approach and effective controls to review and guide infrastructure sub-project proposals, work plans, budgets, implementation, monitoring arrangements, etc.
Devised infrastructure activities effectively with established construction/rehabilitation and monitoring SOPs.
Assisted procurement unit in preparing ITB (Invitation to Bid) related documents, part of the bid evaluation process, and pre-contract meetings. Reviewed invoices submitted by line departments, contractors, and IPs.
Conducted need-based monitoring visits to targeted schools, roads/pavements, DWSS, irrigation channels, and other infrastructure schemes for QA, verified quantities of civil work claimed by line depts., contractors & IPs.
Reviewed the PC-Is, BOQs/cost estimates, drawings, interim spot checks, and substantial completion reports submitted by the line department, independent consulting firm, and other IPs.
Report any defective work, propose remedial actions/suggestions for improvement in the quality of the construction activities, and process change orders in case of site changes in construction/rehabilitation activities.

Key Achievements:

Credited for managing and completing 300 Schools in South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Khyber, Kurram and Orakzai tribal districts and Tank, Bannu and Peshawar.
Led QA at sites including verification of various test reports and material used/to be used in the construction activities, and provided support to M&E section in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly progress reports.

Project: Stabilization and Development Programm (SDP), UNDP Pakistan, Newly Merged Districts (NMDs)
Supervised field operations including works, personnel, and equipment’s to ensure smooth and feasible implementation of project activities, timely highlight the flaws in construction works, and take the needful actions to mitigate them.

Ensured the construction activities are carried out according to the plans, designs, and drawings and ascertain the accuracy of the qualities, quantities, and proportions of the construction materials are precisely maintained.
Maintained constant liaison and coordination with the Contractor, local administration, and other stakeholders including attending regular meetings to ensure the pace of work progress as per the work plan.

Project: Construction of 192 Culverts in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, Kabul, Ghazni Provinces of Afghanistan.
Project: Rehabilitation of Hospital in Kabul Province, Afghanistan, Kabul, Ghazni Provinces of Afghanistan.
Executed all ongoing programs and guide all project managers in the preparation of work plans and progress reports, utilized acute industry knowledge and expertise to estimate cost and devise cost control

Ensured appropriate coordination with donor agencies/govt. and submission of reports to donor agencies; coordinated with the government line agencies, and other agencies working within Kabul city, Afghanistan.
Leveraged a keen insight to review and finalize the designs, drawings, and Bills of Quantities for various projects, sub-projects, and sub-components, of the Activity of various infrastructure projects.
Met with the client and government departments regarding project progress updates, issues, and challenges.

Project: Construction of runway in forwarding Operating base of Ghazni Province, Afghanistan
Project: Installation of fencing in Qargha FOB, Kabul, Afghanistan.
Project: Rehabilitation of 9km Irrigation canal in Ghazni Province Afghanistan.
Directed project work and ensured timely mitigation of gaps & flaws in work, as well as on-time delivery of materials and labor to avoid any sort of hamper in overall progress, also trained and counselled junior or trainee engineers.

Responded to technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Checked and inspected materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements to avoid utilization of non-quality materials in the implementation of construction work.
Made Quality control by procedures method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans, all prepared by the project management team to maintain and ensure the quality of ongoing civil work.
Prepared technical reports, site diary/register, daily progress report, monthly progress report, bills/invoices, etc. 

Supported Project Manager in implementing projects in Kandahar Province of Afghanistan as per Quality standards and specifications, inspected material used in the project work, and ensure quality as per the standards and needs.
Leveraged a keen insight to review and devise specifications and standards given by the client, developed daily progress reports to PM and Client, implemented drawings at the site, as well as a quality control plan.
Led and finalized the designs, drawings, and Bills of Quantities for various projects, sub-projects, and sub-components, of the project activities, also ensured conduction of QC Supervision of the client.
Conducted detailed inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements also cross-validated and reviewed the scope of work, technical requirements, drawings, and specifications.
