An Industry analyst analysis and manage Corporate, Financial, Industry, Market and Merger, Capital Markets information for companies covered in SNL’s covered industries.
They support a demanding client base by developing subject matter expertise.
To prepare for this role a Financial Analyst is trained on SNL’s products, covered industries, procedures and latest developments relating to IFRS and GAAP best practices.
As an audit and consultancy semi senior, my responsibilities, spread across a portfolio of clients, include the following;
• Planning, execution and completion of audit/ attestation and general business advisory service assignments requiring;
o Examination and analysis of financial statements comprising balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and statement of changes in equity for assisting in forming opinion thereon,
o Ensuring compliance with applicable statue , International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) , International Auditing and Assurance Standards (ISA’s),
o Review of internal control procedures to ensure adherence to management policies and control requirements and to suggest improvements thereto,
o Ensuring audit quality and compliance with various auditing and accounting pronouncements,
o Analysis of various periodic reports prepared by client and reporting thereon,
o Reporting to supervisor and engagement partner,
o Timely completion of audit files,
o Establishing and strengthening of cordial client relationship through liaisons at various levels of client personnel including top management, and
• Managing multiple relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction through high quality service delivered to a variety of top-tier client
• Working in the capacity of Payroll Coordinator on Polio Eradication Activity Sindh (a project of UNICEF).
