• Implementation of all aspects of Health and safety and Fire prevention systems.
• Develops management’s awareness and ensures that HSE is an integral part of line management responsibilities and objectives.
• To ensure all legal requirements related to HSE within the company are complied.
• Assist management and support in establishing, maintaining, implementing and improving the HSE management system.
• Liaising with clients or third party subcontractors during any commissioning and maintenance work.
• To ensure that the fire, safety and security system is working properly and contractors are maintaining this system.
• ALARP system implementation for controlling hazards and minimize Risk through risk assessment.
• To generate and implement local standards and procedures to meet the requirements of local governing bodies to get certification and licenses i.e. Sharjah FZ authorities, Civil defense Sharjah and environmental bodies.
• Implementation of 5’S, HAZOP and HAZMAT within the company to promote HSE culture of the company.
• Issuance and monitoring of all work permits for non-routine jobs like welding, gas cutting and confined space entry.
• Writing and recording SOP’s for the all machines and working equipments and conducting trainings on its safe operation.
• To develop MSDS of all new products launched by R & D department in coordination with risk and quality department.
• Active participation and lead the internal and external inspections and audits related to HSE and give feed back to the management.
• To conduct weekly HSE meetings and forward minutes of meetings to top management.

• To develop and continuously updating the HSE policies and manuals of the company.
• Work as a management representative to implement HSE policy from managerial level to till shop floor level.
• Dealing with visitors and briefing about safety and precautionary measures at the entrance.
• To generate and implement local standards and procedures to meet the requirements of local governing bodies to get certification and licenses i.e. Sharjah Municipality, Civil defense and Beeah.
• Setting up the controls required to verify and ensure proper implementation and maintaining related records according to the OSHA and ISO standards.
• Conducting management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE management system and identify required improvements to promote HSE culture and awareness to all.
• Conducting Toolbox talks and internal safety audits and brings improvements in the safety plan.
• Awareness about Static electricity and to monitor the Earthing and grounding procedure has followed while handling the flammable solvents.
• To ensure the PPE’S usage and wearing habit to all the operators and supervisors and monitor on continues basis.
• Mock fire, safety drills and daily checking of fire pumps, fire extinguishers and alarm system.
• Inspecting the maintenance and mechanical department regarding HSE flaws if any, checking that the LOTO and work permits are fully implemented during any preventive or corrective maintenance.

• Prepare HSE policy and procedures in compliance to the applicable regulations and best industrial and international standards.
• Ensure safe work environment with full compliance to ISO and OHSAS standards.
• Develop emergency responds in accordance to the site’s location and conditions.
• Keep up to date with changes in current HSE legislation and to bring attention of HSE manager on any relevant new legislation from EPA and local governing bodies.
• Conduct Risk assessment and safety audits at different sites and recommend suitable mitigation plan. Prepare SMART action plan and follow up in the effective implementation of the action plan.
• Schedule and conduct follow up safety Audits and prepare reports.
• Identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards such as hazardous chemicals, goods and implement appropriate control measures.
• Conduct emergency response exercises and drills and ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency and to maintain the records of such drills.
• Ensure the readiness of Emergency Response Team (ERT) and provide periodic training and coaching.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and assist in effective implementation of the inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
• Prepare procedures for Hot Work permit and develop safe operating procedures (SOP).
• Ensure that employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE inductions and suitable PPE’s are used.
• To conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
• Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work.
• Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.
• Periodic training on HSE for all staff.
