Report writing, preparation of BOQS, repair and maintenance work
The proposed project aims to contribute & concentrate on increased access to portable drinking water through installation, rehabilitation & restoration of damaged water sources. The project will increase existing water discharge capacity of the communal dug wells through upgrading them with submersible pumps powered by renewable energy. Community local water reservoirs will also be repaired for storage of water aimed at both human & livestock animals. At Institution level, primary schools will be provided with drinking water & sanitation facilities to build students resilience to recurrent draught shocks.
Project DetailsThe Project utilizes a gross head of 420m by diverting the Neelum River at Nauseri to the lower reach of the Jhelum River at Zimanabad through a 32.5 km long tunnel system. A concrete gravity diversion dam will be 160m long by 60m high with 03 radial gates and a large flap gates at Nauseri on the Neelum River. The intake structure with a capacity of 280 cumecs is located close to the diversion dam and incorporates six intake gates, which are connected to the sedimentation basins. A diversion tunnel with a capacity of 500 cumecs is built to carry dry season flows only around the dam foundation site. A headrace tunnel system of 28.5 km is constructed. An underground power station having 04 units with a total maximum capacity of 969 MW is constructed at Chattar Kalas, Muzaffarabad. 12 single phase transformers units are to be installed each 98.33 MVA at the power station. An approximate 4 km long tailrace tunnel will discharge the collected water in Jhelum River at Zaminabad.My Responsibilities1. Inspection and supervision of following construction works2. Structural concrete works of Main Dam spillway piers, stilling basin, intake & sedimentation basin, collecting canal & protection slabs.3. Inspection of reinforcement for these hydraulic structures, water stop installation etc.4. Installation of grouting system (grout, drain, vent pipes & grooves) at the contraction joints.5. Placing of different types of concrete of strength varies from 12psi to 60psi in lifts of specified height.6. Exposing/ preparation of rock beds foundation.Dewatering & control of water during at concrete works.7. Slop Stabilization by using rock bolt & shotcrete.Placing of roller compacted concrete & its related testing.8. Installation of anchor bolts & drainage holes inside the rock in spillway & stilling basin area.Preparation of daily, weekly & monthly progress reports.9. Supervision of backfill behind sedimentation basin left wall.10.Contact grouting in tunnel.
