As the Project Coordinator for the Better Cotton Project, my role is essential in overseeing the implementation of sustainable cotton farming practices. The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) focuses on improving the environmental, social, and economic impacts of cotton production, and I ensure that these objectives are successfully met.
My key responsibilities include project planning and coordination, where I develop detailed project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively. I also serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication between farmers, local communities, and government bodies. In monitoring and evaluation, I track the project’s progress, assess the effectiveness of farming practices, and collect data to evaluate project impacts on cotton yield, sustainability, and social outcomes.
I play a vital role in training and capacity building by organizing workshops and providing support to farmers to help them adopt Better Cotton standards. This includes promoting sustainable farming practices such as water management, pest control, and fair labor practices. Additionally, I manage stakeholder relationships, working closely with farmers, NGOs, cooperatives, and government agencies to foster collaboration and ensure the success of the project.
I am also responsible for compliance and reporting, ensuring that all activities adhere to Better Cotton standards, while preparing regular reports for stakeholders and funding bodies. Organize and mobilize farmers/ groups for participatory learning.

Training of Trainers

Managed Project NEFR (Natural Enemies Field Reservoir) and 41 growers NEFRs established at deferent location of district Sanghar, mass rearing of beneficial insects, IPM training to field staff and to farmers, report writing.
To facilitate Farmers about crop issues, famers gathered fortnightly for conduct lecture about current issues, visit in crop field, aware and implemented six production principles, crop protection, soil management, water management, natural habitat management, fiber quality and decent work.
