Project Background
As part of the post 2022 floods recovery in Sindh, Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF), is leading a resilient housing reconstruction program for about 2.1 million households.
To support this effort SPHF in collaboration with SHRRP is undertaking a settlement plan in flood affected districts. This process is crucial for setting up, upgrading, and sustaining essential community infrastructures to improve access to basic public services.
As a Field Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in conducting this short-term assignment, contributing to the success of this critical initiative.
Objective and Responsibilities
This position aims to perform the tasks outlined below to ensure efficient team supervision, streamlined project coordination, effective field operations management, and robust quality assurance in achieving the project objectives:
Supervise and provide guidance to the data collection team and field engineers to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, address challenges, and provide necessary support and resources.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures during field activities.
Liaise with project managers to understand project objectives, requirements, and timelines.
Coordinate with data analysts to ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting.
Collaborate with other stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and partner organizations, as required.
Maintain effective communication channels between the field team and project stakeholders.
Plan and schedule field visits and data collection activities in coordination with the project timeline.
Ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are available for field operations.
Monitor field logistics, including transportation and accommodation arrangements for field staff.
Address any operational challenges or issues that may arise during field activities promptly.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected in the field.
Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in data collection.
Provide training and support to field staff on data collection protocols and procedures.
Deliverables
a) Attend the orientation session prior to the field work.
b) Compile and submission regular progress reports detailing project activities, achievements, and challenges encountered (on daily basis).
c) Maintain and submission of accurate records of field observations, data collected, and any incidents or issues encountered during fieldwork.
d) Submission of all required documentation and reports to project managers and stakeholders.
e) Ensure completeness and accuracy of data collected.
f) Shared daily progress report via synchronizing mobile data as well as questionnaires filled in hard.
g) Report any challenges encountered in the field during data collection.
Reporting relationships
The Field Supervisor will report and work closely with the Project Manager who will lead and supervise the project. They will also have working relationships with the Technical Advisor /MEAL Officer or any other responsible field staff. During the assignment, organization will provide transport to/from field.

I am responsible for implementation of the community engagement strategy at the Village & UC level to represent & introduce Organization into communities, its goals and objectives to ensure confidence building and smooth entry within communities and conduct Broad Based Community Meetings (BBCM) at the grass root (village) levels, registering Community Development Volunteers and maintain Volunteer Database. Conduct training, awareness sessions and provide guidelines for CSGs and community structures such as community management system training. Work closely with CSGs and build the capacity in community engagement to encourage higher community participation. Conduct data verification (data collection & general vulnerability information of targeted communities of HIV/AIDS) of data utilized in program planning and implementation.
