As a mechanical engineer I graduated in January 2017 from NED University of Engineering & Technology. During my undergraduate studies I completed internships at Lucky Cement Ltd and Toyota Indus Motor Company has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal and technical skills. During my internship at Lucky Cement studied the detailed process of cement manufacturing process. Also took part in different maintenance activities of plant like bearing vibration analysis and replacement, vertical raw mill rotors replacement etc. During the internship at Toyota Indus Motors Company I worked on a project of minimization of process fluctuation in the department of Production Control and Logistics. As a part of Final Year Project Thesis I successfully worked on the Design of a Coal Handling System proposed by Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) along with three other team members. During the project we worked on design calculations for different types of crushers, belt conveyor system, stacker, reclaimer and other auxiliaries.
As part of extra curriculum activities I was a part of the biggest non-profit student society of NED University by the name of ASHRAE NED Student Chapter. I started off as a logistics team member and worked my way up to as director logistics and finally as the general secretary of the society. During my tenure I organized countless events both on university and national level. Also as a part of public speaking I hosted multiple events ranging from an audience of 100 to 800 people.
I started off my professional career from Aisha Steel Mills Limited (Arif Habib Group) as a Trainee Engineer in 2017 where I served 4.5 years in the Mechanical Maintenance & Projects department and at the time of resignation I held the position of Senior Executive Engineer. I am currently employed at Thal Boshoku Pakistan (House of Habib) where I joined as an Assistant Manager in Plant Engineering department in September 2021. Along my career I held different responsibilities that included looking after daily maintenance, preventive & predictive maintenance, condition monitoring of critical equipment, performing root cause analysis, spare parts inventory management, compliance of documents as per ISO 9001, EMS 14001 and OH&S 45001 and man power arrangements to make sure to minimize breakdowns, increase availability and reliability whilst looking for improvement opportunities. I also coordinate with the supply chain department for technical assistance for procuring parts/machinery from both local and foreign manufacturers and vendors. I also work on the localization and in-house development of imported mechanical equipment to reduce cost and lead times. In addition I have worked on multiple projects which are listed below:
· Lead a project with German team for erection and commissioning of 2 CNC roll grinding machines
· Lead a project with Chinese team for erection & commissioning of roll assembly machine
· Worked for the complete re-habilitation of a 4 HI single stand Japanese cold rolling mill
· Lead a project with Chinese team for the erection & commissioning of electrostatic oilers as a part of line modification/improvement project
· Lead a project of erection & commissioning of fire-fighting system
· Lead a team for complete revamping of social media and website at ASML
· Installation & commissioning of new die molds, jigs and fixtures at TBPK
· Installation & commissioning of sound proof room at TBPK
· Modification of firefighting system as per company’s new layout at TBPK
The major plant machineries that I have looked after include 4-HI single and double stand rolling mills, batch annealing furnaces, CNC roll grinding machines, shot blast machine, pickling lines, re-coiling line, electrolytic cleaning line, poly urethane foaming machine, lamination machinery, wire bending machines and assembly lines. These plant machineries are under regular preventive maintenance of robots, heat exchangers, pumps, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment, rubberized rolls, reducers, mandrels, fume exhausts, acid tanks, shear cutters and many other related machinery. I also held the responsibility to keep in check the fluid (hydraulic & gear oil) conditions at different plants. For this purpose I utilized both 3rd party and in-house tools such as filtration systems, dehydrating units and fluid monitoring machines.
As a believer in continuous education I pursued my post-graduation alongside my professional career and graduated in May 2020 as a Masters of Engineering Management specialized over Industrial Management from NED University of Engineering & Technology. During the studies I selected course work that was aligned with industrial experience. The major courses include organizational research & systems, accounting & financial management, total quality management, project management, strategic planning, maintenance management, facility planning, supply chain management & lean manufacturing.
I would also like to add that during the unprecedented times of the global pandemic of covid-19 I continued to expand my educational profile and virtually completed a couple of certifications through the global learning platform of coursera.org. The details of the completed courses are mentioned below:
· Supply Chain Management from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. The certification was based on 4 different courses and a capstone namely supply chain logistics, supply chain operations, supply chain planning, supply chain sourcing & supply chain management strategy
· Project Management Principles and Practices from University of California, Irvine. The certification was based on 3 different courses and a capstone namely initiating & planning projects, budgeting & scheduling projects, managing project risks & changes and project management project

Assistant Manager
After spending 4.5 years at steel sector, I decided to expand my experience profile and switch to automobile sector. So in September 2021 I joined Thal Boshoku Pakistan which is a joint venture between House of Habib and Toyota Boshoku Japan. Here I explored the maintenance techniques and management from Japanese point of view. The maintenance department at TBPK jointly covers both mechanical and electrical areas, so in addition to mechanical maintenance I am also learning and looking after electrical troubleshooting. In addition to looking after plant maintenance activities I coordinate with Toyota Asia Region regularly because they firmly belief in strong information sharing related to maintenance activities, downtimes and spare parts inventory. I am also in-charge of maintaining department's compliance of documents as per ISO 9001, EMS 14001 and OH&S 45001. During addition of new products and models the company went under project phase where I looked after multiple projects listed below:• Installation & commissioning of new die molds, jigs and fixtures at TBPK• Installation & commissioning of sound proof room at TBPK • Modification of firefighting system as per company’s new layout at TBPK
Senior Executive Engineer Mechanical Maintenance & Projects
I was promoted for a second time at Aisha Steel Mills Limited as a Senior Executive Engineer. I addition to the existing responsibilities of maintenance, project management and coordination with supply chain department, I started looking after and managing the department's budget. During that time the company was under a huge expansion project and I lead multiple projects during the period of 2 years. Executive Engineer Mechanical Maintenance & Projects
After a year at Aisha Steel Mills Limited I was promoted as an Executive Engineer. I looked after daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance activities, keeping an eye on spare parts inventory and other related tasks. I also coordinate with the supply chain department for technical assistance for procuring parts/machinery from both local and foreign suppliers and vendors. I am the in charge of maintenance activities of the following plants Cold Rolling & Skin Pass Mill, Recoiling Line, Electrostatic Cleaning Line and Roll Grinding Line that runs on both hydraulic and pneumatic systems. I schedule there periodic maintenance focused to minimize breakdowns and coordination with the production department. In addition to existing responsibilities I was also assigned with projects during on-going expansion of the company and improvement projects in the existing facility which are listed below.1) Worked with German team on erection of 2 CNC Roll Grinding Machine.2) Worked with Chinese team for erection & commissioning of Roll Assembly Machine.3) Worked with the Chinese team for the erection & commissioning of Electrostatic Oilers as a partof line modification/improvement project.The major machinery/department that are under plant maintenance department include 4 HI Single and Double Stand Rolling Mills, Batch Annealing Furnaces, CNC Roll Grinding Machines, Shot Blast Machine, Pickling Lines, Re-Coiling Line, Electrolytic Cleaning Line. These departments are under regular preventive maintenance of pumps, accumulators, hydraulic lines, valve stands, rolls, gear boxes, mandrels and segments, fume exhausts, acid tanks, rinse tanks, shear cutters and many other related machinery. I am also responsible for keep in check the fluid conditions at all of the plants. For this purpose I use in-house tools such as filtration systems, dehydrating units & fluid monitoring machines.
Trainee Engineer Mechanical Maintenance & Projects
I started off my career at Aisha Steel Mills Limited as a Trainee Engineer in Mechanical Maintenance Department from March 2017. I looked after daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance activities and SAP generating reservations, purchase requisitions, keeping an eye on spare parts inventory and other related tasks. I also coordinated with the supply chain department for technical assistance for procuring parts/machinery from both local and foreign suppliers and vendors. The major machinery/department that were under maintenance department include 4 HI Rolling Mill, Batch Annealing Furnaces, Roll Grinding Machine, Shot Blast Machine, Pickling Line, Re-Coiling Line, Electrolytic cleaning Line. These departments are under regular preventive maintenance of pumps, accumulators, hydraulic lines, valve stands, rolls, gear boxes, mandrels and segments, fume exhausts, acid tanks, rinse tanks, shear cutters and many other related machinery.I was in charge of Recoiling line, Electrostatic cleaning line and Roll grinding line. I schedule there periodic maintenance, minimize breakdowns, take care of spare parts and other relevant tasks.
