The leading multinational organization in education sector focuses on providing quality education for less privileged communities across the globe mainly active in US and Canada. In Pakistan the organization runs around 1650 campuses. I had been posted in Lahore as a Senior Manager Engineering and was reporting to the Head of Engineering at HO (Karachi).
Being a regional head, I had been managing overall engineering operations in North and North west regions i.e. (Punjab, KPK, Islamabad & Kashmir region) while acting as an interface between the higher management, HR, Finance, Procurement, Logistic and area/regional staff, other stake holders including contractors, consultants, operation departments, supply chain, donors etc

As the Technical Head of the FDP-GC program under IOM/USAID Pakistan and in coordination with the Fata Secretariat in Bara, Khyber Agency & Parachinar, Kurram Agency, I have efficiently managed technical staff and handled various aspects of project management, including planning, designing, budgeting, bidding, implementation, monitoring, billing, and closure of hard grants. My responsibilities encompassed diverse projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, sports facilities, flood protection schemes, water supply schemes, hydel power projects, tube wells, dug wells, irrigation projects, health and sanitation initiatives, solar energy projects, and rehabilitation of small and large-scale projects.

The firm was actively engaged in the PTCL (Vfone) project in collaboration with ZTE. Their primary objective was to establish new sites within PTCL exchanges and revamp existing ones across the north region, all on a turnkey basis. Their responsibilities encompassed office management, procurement, logistic support, technical activities, coordination with both ZTE and PTCL officials to ensure seamless project execution, overseeing provisional and final acceptances, and monitoring the project as a whole

My responsibilities encompassed diligent oversight of the quality, quantity, and progress of various construction activities, specifically pertaining to structures and earthwork on the Chakdara – Landakai (Package – I), spanning a length of 12 kilometers. This entailed closely monitoring and ensuring the meticulous execution of tasks such as subgrade preparation, sub-base, aggregate base course, asphaltic base course and asphaltic wearing course application. Additionally, I supervised the construction of concrete and stone masonry elements, meticulously inspecting the reinforcement in slab culverts, and overseeing the construction of retaining walls.

The duty included the pavement designing, estimation of earthwork, preparation of drawings and BOQ’s, of various road projects including structures under the supervision of senior engineer.  Site visit were also carried out for project implementation through contractor.
