Travel and tourism have always been playing a vital role in the economy of a country. In the beginning, people were taking help of different platforms for travelling and tourism but they were not getting everything they need all at one place. Using our system, the backpacker’s will not have to take help of different platforms to gather information about their tour. Our website and mobile application will allow them to acquire all the information needed for an expedition, upcoming events and expeditions along with security. At the moment there is no single system that helps backpackers during different stages of the expedition. Managing different platforms is not only lethargic but also causes huge cogitative load. Also, in order to ensure safe travel and tour it is essential to have geolocation services and community based emergency response system. “Backpacker’s Kit’ aims to facilitate the backpacker’s community during different stages of their expedition. The main objective of the system is to help in making better decisions and facilitate the backpacker to carry out the decision once made. The Backpacker’s Kit let a backpacker to gather information to either join an expedition of a tour operator or build its own expedition. This way backpackers are able to find companions to go to an expedition with them. The system enables an interactive map where the backpackers can visualized their expedition. There is a mobile solution which enables a user to start the expedition in real-time after which the tracking starts. Once the tracking starts the group members are able to view each other current location. Meanwhile the system is maintaining a route record of the backpacker which they can view later once an expedition ends. Also after the expedition the user will be able to share their stories through blog posts which the backpackers can read and use for later information utilization.
