Procurement Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing continuous guidance and support to enhance their performance. Develop and implement procurement strategies aimed at optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Oversee the end-to-end procurement process to ensure smooth and timely execution of purchases. Monitor buyer performance and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee high-quality service and products. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations at all times. Collaborate closely with departments such as finance, operations, and engineering to understand and meet procurement requirements. Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement activities and key performance metrics. Address and resolve procurement-related issues or discrepancies promptly to avoid disruptions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is essential. A minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement experience is required, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven experience working within the Indian market, particularly in Hyderabad, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, principles, and procedures is necessary. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role. Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is expected. The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed procurement decisions is important. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. High ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct are mandatory. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential; knowledge of Telugu and/or Hindi is considered an advantage.
