Research and Development Solutions (RADS), a private-sector organization specializing in research, technical assistance, surveys, and monitoring services in partnership with governments, donors, and NGOs, is seeking a Research Associate to join its Head Office in Islamabad. This full-time role is ideal for a motivated professional with 1 to 3 years of experience in the research or development sector. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Team Lead, UIL, contributing to diverse research activities that support evidence-based decision-making and program implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing research protocols, survey instruments, and data collection plans to ensure methodological rigor.
- Conduct literature reviews, desk research, and prepare background documentation to inform ongoing research projects.
- Coordinate and supervise field activities, including data collection and quality assurance processes.
- Clean, manage, and analyze datasets using statistical software such as Stata, R, SPSS, or Excel.
- Support the creation of data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Draft research outputs including reports, policy briefs, presentations, and academic papers.
- Liaise effectively with field teams, government officials, and development partners to facilitate smooth project implementation.
- Contribute to capacity-building initiatives by supporting trainings, workshops, and webinars.
- Ensure proper documentation, adherence to ethical standards, and compliance with data protection protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience in research or the development sector.
- Strong understanding of quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method research methodologies.
- Proficiency in statistical and data analysis software such as Stata, R, or SPSS.
- Experience with data visualization or GIS tools is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel to field sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Familiarity with health systems, urban development, family planning, nutrition, or immunization programs in Pakistan is highly desirable.
- Experience working on donor-funded projects, including those supported by Gavi, WHO, UNICEF, or the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other dashboarding tools will be considered an asset.
