The Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing and responding to RFQs, sourcing reliable suppliers, and using data scraping tools to gather pricing and product intelligence. This is a fast-paced role critical to our success in winning new business through competitive, timely, and accurate quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to RFQs from government agencies, commercial clients, and procurement platforms.
- Source products from local and international suppliers with a focus on pricing, availability, and compliance.
- Use web scraping and automation tools to collect market pricing, product data, and supplier info.
- Build and maintain a detailed supplier and product database.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.
- Track RFQ statuses, manage submission deadlines, and maintain client communication.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, procurement, or RFQ response management.
- Strong knowledge of product sourcing and supplier negotiation.
- Familiarity with data scraping tools or browser automation platforms (coding is a plus but not required).
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and CRM systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet U.S. Eastern Time hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with U.S. federal or state procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, Unison, SEPTA).
- Technical aptitude for data analysis, web scraping, or marketplace monitoring.
- Background in U.S. B2G or B2B sales environments.
