We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT & Network Assistant to support our IT department with day-to-day operations, maintenance of hardware and software systems, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist in troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring optimal network performance to support business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity.
• Support the setup of user accounts, email systems, and access rights in accordance with IT policies.
• Perform routine maintenance, backups, and updates of systems and software.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, IT assets, and support requests.
• Assist with IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
• Support network security protocols and assist with antivirus, firewall, and data protection measures.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff as required.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT support or networking preferred.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common office software.
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools and IT helpdesk systems.
