Senior Video Editor

Cloudways, a managed cloud hosting platform by DigitalOcean, is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Video Editor to join its Content Marketing team. This role suits a creative professional with a strong portfolio of engaging video content who is passionate about storytelling and eager to leverage new technologies, including AI-enhanced workflows. The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for producing a variety of video content such as tutorials, product explainers, testimonials, social media clips, and performance-driven advertisements that reflect the brand’s identity and marketing goals. Reporting to the Head of Organic Growth, the role involves close collaboration with the Video Program Manager and other cross-functional teams. This onsite position is based in Karachi, Pakistan, offering an opportunity to contribute to a global brand while growing with the evolving media production landscape.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit and produce high-quality videos across formats including tutorials, explainers, customer stories, performance ads, and brand videos.
- Ensure visual consistency and maintain high production standards throughout all video assets.
- Adapt and optimize content for multiple platforms such as YouTube, the company website, and social media channels including LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Incorporate accessibility features like subtitles, clean audio, and optimized metadata to enhance viewer experience.
- Create motion graphics, branded animations, transitions, and visual effects using tools such as Adobe After Effects.
- Enhance storytelling with text overlays, dynamic visual elements, sound design, and consistent branding.
- Collaborate with the Video Program Manager and marketing teams to align on storyboards, messaging, and campaign objectives.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables while ensuring creative quality and meeting deadlines.
- Incorporate feedback constructively, iterating based on team input and video performance data.
- Experiment with AI video tools to streamline post-production processes, including auto-transcription, B-roll generation, background removal, and multilingual dubbing.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by embracing training and upskilling opportunities in AI media production.

Required Qualifications

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in video editing and motion graphics, preferably within a digital agency, SaaS, or technology sector.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other post-production software such as Audition, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- A strong portfolio showcasing polished storytelling across diverse video formats and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and fix issues like awkward transitions, off-beat audio, or misaligned subtitles.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset, along with a solid understanding of visual branding principles.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
