Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to patients under the supervision of Consultants.
Manage both routine and high-risk pregnancies, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
Conduct gynaecological examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies effectively and efficiently.
Conduct regular ward rounds, document patient progress accurately, and ensure timely communication with the Consultant.
Participate actively in outpatient clinics, providing consultation and follow-up care.

Educational Duties:

Supervise and mentor junior residents and medical students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Conduct clinical teaching sessions, case presentations, and participate in departmental academic activities (e.g., journal clubs, seminars).
Contribute to the development of educational materials and curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate training.
Provide constructive feedback to junior trainees.

Administrative Duties:

Assist in the organisation and management of the department's clinical activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and morbidity/mortality meetings.
Contribute to departmental meetings and administrative tasks as required.

Research Activities (Encouraged):

Participate in clinical research projects within the department.
Contribute to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of research data.
Assist in the preparation of research papers and presentations for conferences and publications.
