Software Engineer I - MLOps

Careem is currently looking for passionate data scientists to join its ML Ops Engineering team in Lahore, Pakistan. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on end-to-end data science projects, from initial concept through to production, while collaborating with experienced professionals to accelerate career growth.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms and data science solutions, managing projects from ideation to production. Collaborate closely with senior data scientists and cross-functional teams to design reliable, scalable systems, adhering to clean code principles and SOLID design patterns. Participate in a comprehensive engineering program that spans Cyber Security, Data, Machine Learning, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering disciplines, including Backend, Frontend, and Mobile development. Contribute to building and maintaining Careem’s technology platform, which supports millions of users and drivers across multiple countries. Continuously learn and apply best practices in software engineering and machine learning to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.

Required Qualifications
A strong foundation in statistics, probability theory, calculus, linear algebra, mathematical analysis, and differential calculus is essential. Proficiency in Python programming, SQL, algorithms, and data structures is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of machine learning theory and algorithms. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are necessary. Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

The role offers a hybrid working model with four days in-office and one day remote per week, along with the flexibility to work remotely from any country for up to 30 days annually.
