We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst and Developer with strong problem-solving abilities and extensive experience in Python programming. The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB. This role centers around a migration project moving from Java/MongoDB to Python/DynamoDB, so familiarity with Java and MongoDB is beneficial. You will work with advanced marketing and advertising technology software, helping to develop innovative data solutions that support Experian’s Targeting products for both internal teams and external clients. The position requires collaboration within a broader project team as well as the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data structures and relationships to design and implement effective data handling processes.
- Develop data products from initial specifications through to final validation, quality assurance, and documentation.
- Manage large databases, perform thorough data validation, and create clear technical documentation tailored to diverse audiences.
- Actively participate in an agile environment, working in sprints to deliver incremental software improvements using best development practices.
- Monitor development progress, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions to challenges.
- Maintain and enhance change management processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide expert support to business and client teams regarding existing data products and tools.
- Continuously update technical knowledge related to technology, systems, and software development methodologies.
- Promote a culture focused on fair customer treatment and strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess new tools and technologies to improve team development and operational support.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing detailed specifications and comprehensive reports.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Python.
- Hands-on experience designing and integrating with DynamoDB databases.
- Proficiency with AWS services, including API Gateway and Lambda.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
