We are looking for a ‘Junior Accountant’ based out of our Karachi office. The incumbent of this position is expected to work as part of a 4-member team that facilitates financial reporting, payroll, and tax, and compiles and systematically saves all documentation required for these activities. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications/characteristics:
- Must be a graduate (B.Com) or above
- Evidence of strong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries
- Must have solid computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Must have experience of using ERP software for purposes of accounting purposes – prior experience with the Lightwave accounting tool of Lumensoft (Candela) will be considered an asset
- Evidence of a strong passion for accounting and taxation with a lengthy concentration span
- Must be able to demonstrate high levels of discipline and dedication – a strong work ethic is an essential requirement for this position, particularly when it comes to a systematic documentation of records
- Prior experience of working in tax is beneficial
- Strong appreciation of the need to extract maximum cooperation from stakeholders, and must be a good team player
- Must have their own conveyance
- Good references are required for this position
