We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize the entire logistics and warehouse operations of our business. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in supply chain management to ensure the seamless movement of goods between Karachi and Faisalabad while maintaining operational efficiency, cost control, and transparency.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for load planning, warehouse operations, dispatch management, inventory control, and implementing technology-driven solutions to reduce inefficiencies, eliminate corruption, and optimize cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Load Planning & Transportation Management

  • Develop and implement strategic load planning to ensure optimal ZBC wagon utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Pakistan Railways Freight Forwarding to ensure smooth transportation of goods between Karachi and Faisalabad.
  • Plan and allocate transport capacity effectively to minimize empty space and increase revenue per trip.
  • Oversee and approve daily load scheduling, ensuring on-time dispatch and delivery.
  • Implement real-time tracking and reporting for dispatched goods.

2. Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Supervise inbound and outbound stock movement at Karachi and Faisalabad warehouses.
  • Implement barcode-based inventory tracking systems for real-time visibility of stock levels.
  • Ensure that all goods received are properly recorded and reconciled against dispatch reports.
  • Monitor stock aging, shrinkage, and discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  • Ensure smooth warehouse operations, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of goods movement, loading, and dispatch.
  • Maintain detailed inventory records, daily shipment logs, and warehouse reports.
  •  Generate ZBC loading reports, daily stock levels, and reconciliation statements.
  •  Maintain a Goods Receipt Report (GRR) for all inbound goods to Karachi and Faisalabad warehouses.

4. Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement

  • Identify and eliminate unnecessary expenses in logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Reduce cost leakages and streamline expense approvals.
  • Introduce structured cost analysis and ensure logistics expenses stay within budget.
  • Optimize labour allocation and ensure fair and efficient workforce management.

5. Team Management & Compliance

  • Supervise warehouse staff, barcode handlers, and data operators in Karachi and Faisalabad.
  • Train warehouse and logistics teams on efficient inventory handling, scanning, and dispatch procedures.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with company policies, local regulations, and contractual obligations with Pakistan Railways.

6. Technology Implementation & Process Automation

  • Implement SAP/MM-WM, MYOB, or any suitable ERP for seamless inventory tracking.
  • Work with IT/data operators to integrate barcode tracking with digital inventory systems.
  • Identify and deploy low-cost automation solutions to improve efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time dispatch rate (goods reaching destinations without delays).
  • ZBC wagon utilization efficiency (ensuring maximum load capacity per trip).
  • Warehouse inventory accuracy (minimizing stock discrepancies).
  • Reduction in logistics expenses (improving operational cost-effectiveness).
  • Implementation of barcode-based tracking (reducing manual errors).
  • Client satisfaction rate (reducing missing/delayed goods complaints).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.

Technology Skills:

  • SAP (MM, WM, SD) S4 Hana, MYOB, or any ERP system.
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Barcode scanning and warehouse tracking technologies.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a team, train staff, and enforce accountability measures.

  • Strong background in logistics planning, warehouse automation, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Previous experience working in large-scale logistics companies such as DHL, Tri-Pack, or major distribution firms.
