The Software Development Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of software development. This includes strategic planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of software to support business objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of various software, project management, governance, contract management, budgeting, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the business
- Lead the project team in scoping activities to identify, capture and analyze requirements, define key business drivers and oversee the delivery of an effective and innovative solution·
- Responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, within agreed scope and quality measures.
- Ensure regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, by distributing minutes of meetings, project status updates and project documentation.
- Work with the developers’ team to manage scope and change control.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions, and support the team in providing solutions and escalations when needed
- Report on the status of project delivery using agreed reporting metrics.
- Establish, coordinate and maintain relations with third-party suppliers and vendors that are supporting project delivery to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support in post-implementation activities including documenting lessons learnt and the project closure report and monitoring of benefits realization
Qualifications:
- Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management.
- A minimum Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a relevant field is good to have
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager related to Software Development.
- Presentable personality with very good communication skills.
- certification in PMP, Agile or SCRUM is plus, and knowledge of project management tools is required.
- Exposure or experience to set up and maintain DevOps CI & CD infrastructure on AWS & on-premise preferred
