DeSOM – Defence Services Officers’ Mess, based in Lahore Cantt, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Systems & Cyber Security Administrator to enhance its IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining server and network monitoring systems, administering Linux environments, and implementing cybersecurity measures. This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on experience with various monitoring tools, firewall systems, and virtualization technologies to ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical IT services. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have at least 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage monitoring tools including Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
- Set up and administer firewall solutions such as OPNsense and pfSense
- Maintain and monitor servers running on Windows Server and Ubuntu operating systems
- Configure and manage web servers like Nginx and Tomcat to support application delivery
- Administer Linux systems, ensuring overall server health and performance
- Manage virtual environments using VMware ESXi to optimize resource utilization
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity or security issues
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening and vulnerability management
- Ensure high availability and reliability of critical IT infrastructure components

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSc/BS)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in systems administration and cybersecurity roles
- Proficiency in using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki for monitoring and alerting
- Experience configuring and managing OPNsense and pfSense firewall systems
- Hands-on knowledge of Ubuntu Server and Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with web server management, specifically Nginx and Tomcat
- Practical experience with VMware ESXi virtualization technology
- Networking skills equivalent to CCNA or CCNP certification levels
- Strong Linux command-line proficiency and system administration capabilities
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including system hardening techniques
- Relevant cybersecurity certification with at least one year of applied experience

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Contract duration of 36 months
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 90,000, commensurate with experience
