American Lyceum is seeking a dynamic and versatile teacher to educate junior-level students in General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Computer skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building strong academic foundations, encouraging curiosity, and using interactive teaching methods that reflect modern, 21st-century learning standards. This role requires creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where students can develop critical thinking abilities and practical knowledge across multiple subjects.

Key Responsibilities

General Knowledge:
Deliver lessons appropriate for junior students covering topics such as current affairs, science, geography, health, and values education. Encourage curiosity and global awareness through discussions, visual aids, and project-based learning. Help students connect classroom content to real-world situations and develop critical thinking skills.

Mathematics:
Teach fundamental math concepts including numbers, operations, geometry, measurement, and word problems. Use visual aids, manipulatives, and interactive techniques to clarify mathematical ideas. Conduct regular assessments and offer remedial support to students who need extra help.

Computer:
Instruct students in basic computer skills such as typing, MS Office applications, internet safety, and digital literacy. Introduce programming logic using tools like Scratch or block coding when appropriate. Lead practical computer lab sessions, ensuring active participation and promoting responsible technology use.

General Duties:
Maintain a disciplined, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards. Regularly evaluate student performance and communicate progress to parents. Participate actively in school events, teacher training sessions, and departmental meetings. Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-subject activities and projects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years teaching experience with junior or middle-grade students
- Proficiency in teaching basic computing and mathematics concepts to young learners
- Strong command of English and effective classroom communication skills
