We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Travel Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist clients with planning and booking travel arrangements, including transportation, accommodations, tours, and activities. The Travel Agent must possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for travel and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences, and budget
Provide advice on travel destinations, visas, travel insurance, and local customs
Research and recommend suitable travel packages and services
Make reservations for flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, and activities
Process payments, issue travel documents, and confirm itineraries
Handle changes, cancellations, and resolve customer service issues promptly
Stay current with industry trends, travel regulations, and destination updates
Build and maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Proven experience as a travel agent or in a similar role
Proficiency with booking and reservation systems (e.g., GDS like Sabre, Amadeus)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Passion for travel and delivering exceptional service
Preferred Skills:
Certification in travel or tourism (e.g., CTA, CTC, or equivalent)
Multilingual skills are a plus
Knowledge of international travel regulations and documentation
