The Business Development Manager (BDM) for our accounting firm plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales and business development within the accounting or professional services industry. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and promoting our firm's services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends.
    • Develop strategic plans to penetrate target markets and achieve sales goals.
    • Analyze competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
  2. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

    • Identify and prioritize potential clients through various channels such as networking events, referrals, cold calling, and online research.
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities.
    • Initiate contact with prospective clients to introduce our firm's services and value proposition.
  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Understand clients' needs and objectives to tailor solutions that meet their requirements.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on accounting and financial services.
  4. Proposal Development and Presentation:

    • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including partners and subject matter experts, to develop customized solutions.
    • Deliver presentations to clients showcasing our firm's capabilities and expertise.
  5. Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Drive the sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and align with firm objectives.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by management.
  6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Work closely with partners, senior management, and other team members to align business development efforts with overall firm objectives.
    • Provide feedback and insights to enhance marketing strategies, service offerings, and client experience.
    • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales, preferably within the accounting or professional services industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Timings: 1 pm to 9:30 pm

Job Type: Full-time onsite
