We are looking for a Procurement Officer / Sourcing Specialist to handle product sourcing, price negotiations, and supplier coordination. The primary responsibility will be to gather product rates from the market for items required by customers, based on received RFQs (Requests for Quotation). The role involves sourcing HVAC equipment, firefighting products, valves, plumbing materials, power tools, and other supplies for projects and industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain product pricing from local and international suppliers for received RFQs.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for HVAC systems, firefighting equipment, valves, plumbing materials, pumps, power tools, and industrial supplies.
- Compare and analyze supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Keep track of market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability.
- Maintain a database of suppliers, quotations, and purchase history.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely responses to client inquiries.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in procurement decisions.
Requirements:
- Intermediate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant tools.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, or construction materials procurement.
- Understanding of import/export processes and supplier verification.
